Why do painters wear whites?
I believe it is because most  paints we use are white or off whites. I have been painting since 1979 and have never found an answer that sounded more logical that this one.

well, to me.. I think most painters wear white cloths... because "white color" is a sacred and a very simple color. So, painters show theirself very simple people with sacred heart. They canvas different faces of life and world onto paintings. At that time they pour all they have in them into their paintings.

To me, painters have this mean to wear white.
Because white is pure and shiny like the art of painting.
