The Answer

Yes employers Payroll taxes for their employees, part of that taxes are withheld from the employees' wages.
Employers are required to withhold state and federal income taxes as well as social security and medicare taxes from your employees wages.
Also they pay State and Federal unemployment tax.

If you have independent contractors you dont have to pay taxes for them, independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes.
