What is the difference between a Blu-ray disc and a DVD?
What is the difference between a Blu-ray disc and a DVD?

Answers
Blu-ray disc is a high-definition format and DVD is a standard-definition format. High definition video can contain up to 5 times more picture information than standard definition [to be consistent with the highlighted statement above], so Blu-ray disc uses a higher resolution blue laser to retrieve data from a Blu-ray format disc.
A Blu ray disc has bigger storage capacity than a dvd, physically they are both the same size.
