What is the concept of the 'Oneness of God'?
What is the concept of the 'Oneness of God'?

Answers
Unity and peace in the world.
That we and everything in this universe are all part of one conciousness or one controller of this universe.
The Oneness of God to me means that God in history has been different things to different people, but is still God. In the Old Testament of the Bible God was a Creator, a life giver, He was a general in battle, he was a father to a nation of people that needed guidance. In the New Testament he took the form of a man, to show us he was with us, he became our friend our example our savior, by dying a sinless man he fulfilled the sacrifice requirements and as the holy ghost he is our guide our helper, our strength when things are tough. And one day he will be our judge, when we will have to answer what we did with our life. Throughout time he has always been God and always complete. Just like i am a son, a husband, a brother, and a friend etc yet always and completely me.

The oneness of God refers to the Trinity of the Father, Son and Spirit. Three separate and distinct parts of the same person...always in agreement with one another. For instance, you, as a person, have the same three separate and distinct parts, yet you are one.
The "mind" of God (or the God the Father), the "flesh" of God (God the Son...Jesus), and the "spirit"...or the "life" and the "power" of God (God the Spirit).
