Muslims don't celebrate valentine's day its explained

where to start....
The man in the video makes some good points about limits. In a society where half of first marriages end in divorce, and up to 90% of 3rd marriages end up that way, and the idea of a "starter marriage" is acceptable, the way people think about families needs to change. My daughter is in Brownies and her Brownie troop had a Valentine's Day party where the girls gave each other valentines. This I think is going too far.
The point about it being a Pagan celebration I have to discount. Vanishingly few holidays (note holiday = holy + day) are still the same that they were originially. Yes, Christmas, Easter, All Saints Day, and so on were originally placed at those times to soothe Pagans when the Catholic church was trying to convert them to Christianity, but the positive meanings of those days today mean much more than the original.
Is someone going to celebrate Easter, think about the bunny (fertility symbol) that carries around the eggs (fertility symbol) and start worshiping Ishtar, the fertility goddess that the holiday is names after? No, because no one cares about the Pagan symbolism anymore. It's a day for family and for Christians to think about the most important day in their religion's history.
■ Asker response : thanks for ur answer but sorry about ur baseless with ignorant reply wat eve ur ideas re welcomed thanks

We should look forward not backward, yes that's true Valentine's day doesn't have the same meaning as it has in the past, now it's simply a love celebration day and a chance to show love to your wife or girlfriend, for those who use that day to do some illegal relationships that's their problem. i'm muslim too, and i celebrate Valentine's day with my wife.

i beleive love doesnt need any specific date to celebrate the day of love, if you are in true love everyday is valentine, so in islam there is no specific date to celebrate love, there are two festivals of islam in which muslim celebrate happiness, thanks God.
