You could put up some leaflets with your name and contact details (preferabally phone number, no address) in order to get in touch with people. Perhaps good places to put up a leaflet are libraries, schools, maybe even church. But I guess it could help a lot if you list chores or tasks you could do on your leaflet, so that people get an idea of what you'd like to do ;-) Good luck!
