It all depends upon your hair's condition when you start the process and whether you have virgin hair or have color on it now. If you purchase quality professional salon products at a beauty supply though and some good conditioning restorative treatments for post color you can come out of it with healthy shiny hair though. I use Roux Porosity Control and Hi Pro treatment Pack after bleaching and my hair is soft and shiny and platinum blonde...................Washing it less helps it's condition as well. I only wash my hair maybe once a week , but I put conditioner on and rinse it every other day, makes a HUGE difference.
