God knows you intimately. He's always close to you and not only hears your voiced prayers, but looks at the thoughts that you hide in your heart. The bible (about the love, provision and judgement of God, written by different men over thousands of years) is given so that you can know His character, learn to trust Him, and be saved.
The more time you spend reading it and talking to the Lord, the stronger your relationship and faith will become.

I can't and I don't believe that a single being is watching everybody. A book doesn't prove or anything. The saying that Faith is enough is a cop out for the fact that no proof is available. I don't mock those who believe but i cannot do it myself.

I never said 'faith is enough'. You have to take action on the things that God shows you in the bible. Start reading it! He guides you to those things that are causing a blockage to your growth/relationship/circumstances and it's your responsibility to do what He says. Each time you swallow your pride and do what you know in your heart you should do, regardless of what your head says (counter these thoughts by actually speaking out what the Word says) things become clearer, circumstances change and your faith in turn will grow stronger.

Fair point I guess, You seem to have faith but it is not that simple for those who dont have the faith already or haven't got a strong background of faith.

reading the bible is not enough but an important step. the bible teaches you how to contact God. learn from it and obey what you read and you will have God come to you. He will treat you as a son.

Believing in God is by faith which is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen.the Bible teaches you a whole lot of things.All the answer to your questions is in the bible and all you have to do is to study it often.It will surely lead the way

Hahahahahah that's the whole point of faith, u can't see its there but I can feel him and hear him speak to me.. It may sound crazy to u but when u have nothing else but faith size of a mustard seed U can move mountains. Believeing is the key, so have a relationship wit christ.

It's often the core of many 'deep-and-meaningful' discussions (and disagreements!) between us. Don't stress - God knows exactly where you're at and what it'll take for you to accept Him. He'll keep sending people and information along the way to help you.

I've gotta stick in my two cents worth! :0) First of all, the answers I've read are all good answers. Second of all, the "old book" is just that...an old book. It's the Spirit and Truth WITHIN the "old book" that gives it life. It's not the words on the pages, but the life in the words...
My friend, if you really want to know if God is real, you don't need to read anything unless you want to (although the "old book" is highly recommended!). If you REALLY want to know if He's real, just ask Him. I can assure you, He will reveal Himself to you in ways you never thought possible...

it about possiblites, your knowing of things and the properties theys ubbmitt only classifies you as a doer, God can and will do as it wills, so surcoming is the best place to be. besides the outstading lasting of its presence nothing is everything and the commitence to something overwhelming conceeded is great pretence but a whole lot of responcibility. So in that people dont actually believe in God they belive in its promise that bearing a resemblece of a image apprehends motives so, just be a likly as thought and removes force from your own postion then tell others how it feels!!!

All Creation, the Work of God's hand points to His existence! I absolutely love science, but don't be fooled when, under the guise of worldly wisdom, people start mocking the existence of God because they think they have figured out opposing views to Genesis. Evolutionary events occur and have been studied, but if you ever read the Bible itself there is no contradiction there.

Focus on the important TRUTHS in the Bible. In many, many passages the Lord himself says that the Bible is inspired by Him, that he will use the foolish things of this world to declare his existence and only fools would not believe in Him, and that if you're seeking him then he will Freely and Abundantly give out wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

How do you find God, have Fellowship with the King of Kings?
Jesus is the Lord, Jesus!! Praise His name and you will never be the same!! It's as simple as 1, 2, 3...

Confess that Jesus is Lord. Believe he was sent to redeem you and give you a relationship with Him and ask him to be the Lord of your life.

Then have a personal relationship with Him. How? Talk to him everyday through simple prayer. Listen to him everyday by reading the Bible, that's how he'll speak to you. I guarantee it works!! The "Old Book" will surprise you how it speaks to you directly, I guarantee!!

For Non-Believers: Doubt it? Well if you're still a non-believer after reading this (longwinded) message this far then check this out....The Bible tells me over and over, many passages say that you would think that an "old book" and "invisible god" is foolishness...nonsense, just like you believe. But you don't even know what the book says!? So how come the book knows what YOU think? Maybe you should check it out...BTW the answer to all this is JESUS, and the Word of GOD the FATHER inspired By the HOLY SPIRIT.
