2012 is the Mayan calendar is no more important that 2000 is to the Christian calendar. In the Mayan Long Count, 12/21/2012 corerspones with 13.0.0.0.0 which follows the day 12.19.19.17.19
Expecting the world to end on this day is no more sensible then thinking that the world ended already on 12.0.0.0.0 which was September 18, 1618
If it did, I must not have gotten the memo.

P.S. There is an inscription in one Olmec temple (Quirigua stela F) of the date: (13.)13.0.0.0.0.0.0.0. which is over 400 million years from now. They must not have thought the world was going to end soon.

only God knows when the world will end. There have already been fulfilments of the prophesies hunfreds of years ago, and there are still alot to come. Read Revelations in the Bible. Its an entire book on when the world will end. but its sorrt of confusing. you may want to find a pastor or an other Christian to answer your questions : )
