Why should you go for a annual vaccination for flu?
Every time that the seasonal transition occurs at winter, we are more or less faced with a widespread attack of flu all around us. And it is not that this happens in some years while in others it does not. In fact this is a scenario that is repeated every year and although the government would like to say that it is something really minor and is quite seasonal in nature and is due to the weather change and such like, do not be fooled. Influenza may sound like a trivial disease but its can be very lethal at times and if not treated properly, can cause even death! Therefore make sure that you have taken every protection possible to keep yourself and your family safe from this disease by taking the required vaccinations.

Did you know that more than thirty six thousand people every year die of flu in the United Sates of America? With such high a mortality rate every single season, flu has become a risk that people can no longer afford to take. Although you may not contract a serious attack of flu but still it will weaken your immune system and as a result you stand a chance of contracting other harmful diseases like pneumonia etc. So, it is high time that you too your vaccines and gave them a boost every year round so that you are safe from the attack of flu.

However, only death is not the big factor. See, if you take your annual vaccines against flu then you stay safe unlike thousands of others out there who get hospitalized and spend three to four weeks at the hospital and come out nearly as dead as, if they had not been cured. Now, surely, you would not want to suspend your job, cut down your salary and stay in the hospital for weeks on the end in an environment that speaks of nothing but sickness and death.

Also, there has been a high risk group determined for the same, which means that people within this group must be, at all costs, vaccinated annually. This includes people who are young, from six months to eighteen years of age, and people who are really very old or have immunity related problems. For example, people who have undergone major organ transplant or any other sort of major operations, they need to get this vaccine because their body immunity is purposefully lowered by the doctors so that the transplanted organs are not rejected by the body. So therefore, they stand a chance of getting infected very easily. As such vaccination and that too annually is very important for them.
