Video games were present from the very past times. Video games at that time were not compatible with joystick or buttons or it didn’t have any kind display screen but still people played it. Video games at earlier age were like playing with beads, or any kind of water based games played in pots and many others. But with the invention of computers the world of video games completely changed. Today Video games have become interesting equipments which provides a complete way for refreshment through it.

Children today prefer to stay back at homes and play video games rather than go outside and do any kind of physical activity or even play any kind of outdoor games. This is so because they find a lot of interest in solving a puzzle or get into a zigzag road with virtual car races. These activities may increase the brain efficiency but it also dulls away the physical activities of a child. Physical activities constitute for the development of a child physically. Playing video games may increase the mental ability but at the same time it decreases the physical growth of a child making the child less immune.

But, scientifically it is a proven fact that children who play video games regularly do their homework routinely and are smarter than regular children. When a children or anyone else who plays a video game, are providing their brain with a good exercise and at this same time, they are exercising on their thumbs and fingers with the usage of joystick and buttons.

Children while navigating their way through the virtual world of video games finds it very interesting and quite mysterious. While playing video games, a child has to figure out the rules and regulations of the game and achieve the destination they need to achieve to win. Devotion of time makes the child work at solving puzzles that are looped within these games. Yes, it is a fact that today's culture is definitely making the children smarter. Programmers or gamers spent a lot of time to develop these games where they set options to deal with the immediate problems which arises while playing these games. These game programmers keep their long term goals and set the games in this virtual world. Children while solving these game puzzles refer to a lot of strategic thinking and complex problem solving of video games.

Playing a video game is equivalent to working on a math or physics problem. Video game players are just like students in a laboratory, where they perform various experiments to reach their thesis. For example, if a child is playing football virtually in video games then he is constantly thinking about making a way through to past the defender and scores a goal. With this, they engage in action for dodging the defenders and making the players active playing in his side and finally completing with scoring of a goal. Hence we can say that playing video games is a kind of fundamental learning.

To conclude we can say that playing video games is not at all bad as long as we benefit from it.
