With the emergence of new technology in every field of life, aerial technology gets more and more developed. With the passage of time, aero planes with no pilot to fly, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), were encouraged a lot.

The first unmanned aerial vehicle was A.W.LOWS “Aerial Target” was formed in 1916. In the Second World War, UAVs were developed very well and a lot of development takes place in this field. In 1980s and 1990s US air force do a lot in this field and antiaircraft gunners and fly attack missions were given to UAVs.

UAVs have much functionality in which remote sensing, transport, precision bombing and scientific research is much important. In remote sensing, UAVs are sent to enemy territorial areas from where they get photograph and video phottage and sense that areas where enemies are present and thus gives a good and authentic report about enemy.

For tranport purpose, it is sent to those areas where general aerial vehicles cannot go due to weather or other reasons. With fixed wing UAVs, payloads can also be attached to the airframe, but aerodynamics of the aircraft with the payload must be assessed.

Scientific research is one of the most important functions done by UAVs. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) began utilizing the Aerosonde unmanned aircraft system in 2006 as a hurricane hunter.UAVs are sent to the areas where hurricane destroy the buildings and other properties. So it sent the reports to the center that what is happening there ant thus tells the center about the speed and destruction of hurricane in the damaged area.

Precision bombing is also its important function. Nowadays mostly UAVs are used for this purpose ant getting good result. It do bombing in those areas where terrorist and extremist stay and do their activities.

UAV is a good invention of scientist but it is required that it should be used for constructive purposes not destructive.
