Training the Dalmatians
Dogs are the best, lovable and adorable companions of a person.  But having a dog at home needs a   number of essential features to be apprehended and accomplished.  The Dalmatians have a brilliant knowledge of grasping and learning any command. Training the Dalmatian is yet another important task which requires lot of patience.  Your commands must be given in a friendly but at the same time a firm tone.

Potty Training

1. This is the most important part of training your dog to avoid any messing in and around your house.  You may start potty training your puppy at the age of 6 to 8 weeks.
2. You have to observe your puppy’s signs and sniffing before it wants to go out.  Instantly lead your puppy out of the house and let him do his job.
3. Repeat the routine for a month or two.  As the Dalmatians are very quick learners, your dog will accustom to the routine.

Barking should not be nuisance

1. Barking is the nature and a way of expressing the emotions of a dog.  It may bark at anything which disturbs it, but its barking should not be a nuisance in the neighborhood.
2. Absence of the master also leads to constant barking.  At such times leave any article related to you with your pet.  It will feel contented and stop barking.
3. Avoid keeping your pet chained constantly as he too needs to move around to overcome the restlessness.

Nipping, Biting and Chewing

1. Taking your dog out regularly for a walk, feeding him on time and playing with him for awhile can put an end to these embarrassing habits of your Dalmatian.
2. When he feels restless, hungry or wants your attention, he may get involved in nipping, biting and chewing.
3. Tackling your dog’s problems and fulfilling his needs will stop these undesired habits of your dog.

Sit and Stay commands

1. Make your dog stay in its allotted place when it is resting or sleeping.  If it does any thing unwanted you may make him stay or sit in the same place without doing any further mischief.
2. Use short commands like sit or stay according to the situation.  Train from the puppy stage and when it does not respond, you may put your hand firmly on its collar and repeat the command.
3. Continuing this sort of commands as when and required make your Dalmatian learn the proper behavior.
