Water is essential to our body, as every function done in it is regulated by and depends on water. It carries vital nutrients, oxygen, and other acids needed by the body. Also, the body needs balanced dehydration which proper intake of water does for us. Moreover, water cleanses our body cells, carrying away toxic waste from the cells.
Usually with all the typical work we exert on daily activities, we need more or less 8 to 10 glasses a day to cater the hydration we lose everyday. But this is not always the case. For those people who are not too physically active, about 5 glasses would be enough. Drinking too much water is not also good for the body. The body has a natural process of getting rid of excess water in the body. Too much intake causes the risks of stroke, heart failure, and brain damage. Also, one may suffer from hyperhydration or water poisoning. This disrupts the balance in your body’s electrolytes which is important for the body to be able to work properly.
The best way to get your body in shape and hydrated just right is to take water in moderation. Base your intake in your everyday physical activity and take just the right amount. After all, anything too much is never really good.
