Its presence could be felt everywhere, from super malls to any sub-urban nearby shop. Its not long ago that chocolate is merely used in treats and as candy, but now its full grown brand which could not be neglected, and guess what ? Everybody loves it.

The history of chocolate is equally interesting as its present. Back in times, around 2000 BC chocolate is used in more than 150 medical recipes in form of cocoa. It was also a part of Ancient Mesoamerican society in celebrations and festivals. William Clark once explained how he got relief and mental satisfaction when once his friend gave him a piece of chocolate which helped him regain his composure in a short time period.

However due to various reasons, during Industrial revolution, production and popularity of chocolate dipped and by mid 20th century it is not at all seen as something related to health and healing. The whole economy and politics of food business was revolving around sugar and milk products.

Now we all chocolate lovers can feel relief as chocolate is making a comeback in market and eclipsed every other thing in food industry. It is now also seen as antioxidants and anti- inflammatory and as a rich source of minerals and vitamins. The good old chocolate is here not only to stand and survive but to beat the others and it already proved this. The chocolate revolutionized the food industry like no could product did before.
