One of my personal favorites and CBS’s primetime comedy The Big Bang Theory is quickly gaining popularity after two smash it seasons. The Big Bang Theory has won a TV critics award. The show is basically a situation comedy about a bunch of friends who are young scientists and somewhat stereotypical nerds.

This show is basically portraying the lives of young scientist who are very intelligent and this intelligence sometimes creates humor in their life. There are four friends Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard. They are in very high level scientific fields Sheldon is theoretical physicist Leonard and raj also work in the same organization and Howard works on space technology.

The show is beautifully written and they have managed to get a big fan following. The script is about creating humor about the stereotypical geeks. These four friends love comic books, they watch super hero movies, they do not have girlfriends, they love comic-con and they have a very small friends circle. They don’t do anything that a usual 20-30 years old would do. These guys with mind boggling IQ levels and they can be very geeky. The show features hilarious conversations between this group of super geeks and their neighbor and friend Penny who is a beautiful blonde waitress. The clashes between Penny and Sheldon, who is somewhat leader of the pack, consist of witty and simple remarks by penny and extremely nerdy lingo of Sheldon.

The cast includes Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper who is a theoretical physicist and a self-centered super geek. John Galecki is playing Leonard Hofstadter who is a experimental physicist and lives with Sheldon. He has to bare Leonard’s extremely annoying style of living. Kunal Nayyar is Rajesh Koothrappali a shy Indian guy who can’t talk to women unless he is drunk. Howard Wolowitz is played by Simon Helberg who still lives with his parents he is a Jew with dorkiest looks and creepy ideas. Kaley Cuoco is playing Penny stunning blonde girl who lives across Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment. Being a next door neighbor and a good friend she is a very important part of their lives. She appears in every episode and Leonard seems to like her. Sara Gilbert also occasionally appears on the show she plays Leslie winkle a fellow scientist and a big critic of Sheldon’s work.

CBS has aired two successful seasons of the show and the third season is going to premier on 21st of September 9:30 eastern.
