Technical report writing
Writing is essence of human communication. Writing was first started in the Stone Age when people communicate with each other with the help of different symbols. The simplest writing scripture was made by the help of few lines, the use of different lines represents different objects. But with the development of different languages different scriptures were started. So the languages which survived and became popular worldwide require some technicality which could be useful in differentiating formal and casual writing so in English language these writings are known as technical writings, a brief article will give you the idea about technical writing.

Word technical is derived from the Greek word “Technikos” which means “to be expert”. Report is formal writing written within or outside the organization for business or any other purpose. And the word writing is discussed in the above paragraph in detail. So the combination of these three words means to be expert in report writing.

Technical report includes reports for projects, memorandum (usually known as memo), official letters, etc.
Some people define technical writing as “the formal writing”. So by their definition curriculum vitae (resume) is also a part of technical report writing. Now let us have a glance on what is the purpose of these writings? And what are their significances?

So reports for projects is basically (what we think as technical report writing) a result of the project which is assign to any company or a group of people. This report includes a title, contents of reports and at last the conclusion. The whole project depends on the conclusion of this report. A memorandum or simply memo is official one page information which usually holds the date and time for a meeting. A memo is used within the organization between the members of organization. An official letter is written in official capacity, it is usually single page data which shares information in both ways.
So technical writing has a great impact in our office life.
