There were days when cricketers use to play 5 days and eventually the result comes out to be a draw. But since every game has evolved very much from past same is the case with cricket. When players have to play for a long time like a test match, it requires stamina, strength and passions. But when it comes to T20 cricket players require passion, stamina, power to make a decision and above all agility.
T20 cricket is a short format of regular or ODI cricket. In T20 game players are required to perform their best in the 40 overs. In the longer format like a test match it is easy to recover from a pressure situation and also you can afford to make small mistakes as well but in T20 cricket it is never the same. You have to be accurate and passionate for the victory.
In most countries cricket is not very much popular but we must consider and remember one thing in mind that the national game of “England” is not football, its cricket. Countries that have been ruled by Great Britain like Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan and West Indies all play cricket. All these countries have very strong infrastructure for cricket. Cricket academies also have basic and also well grown structure in these countries.
Although cricket is game that is popular enough to be included in the Olympics but due to its duration of time (almost 8 hours) it can’t be included in the Olympics games. But with the advent of T20 cricket it seems that now cricket has enough potential to be included in the Olympics.
Countries like England, Australia, Scotland, India, West Indies, Srilanka, New Zealand and T20 Champions Pakistan are trying to contact the authorities of Olympics to include this short version of cricket which hardly takes 4 hours.
To conclude we can say that T20 cricket is a hope for the countries like Pakistan and Srilanka which are facing political stability problems. So T20 must have a place in Olympic games.
