Those who look neat are more presentable. It is not necessary that one should be clean shaven, but leastways mustache and beard should be kept clean. A boy learns the basics of shaving when he crosses his teenage. And it is expected that he’ll be continue shaving. 

                    The two instruments used for shaving are plain razor and electric razor. Electric razor though is fast and sometimes more comfortable than plain razor but it does not shave as closely. Men who want a closer, smoother and long lasting shave, plain razor is suggested. Some men prefer both electric razors shave followed by plain razor shave. 
 
                     For someone who is getting rid of a beard or mustache he has had for a while, this is a good idea. One should trim long hairs to a manageable length before trying to shave them, just to prevent discomfort caused by their pulling.
Before start shaving one should rinse his face with warm water. It helps in getting a closer shave as warm water softens hairs. Shaving, right after most men preferred shower as then the oil content in skin is less and hairs are soft. This also reduces the problems associated with shaving. 

                     For shaving with electric razor there is no need of any gel, but for shaving with plain razor shaving gel should be applied first. Apply a little quantity of shaving gel on your hand and then rub on your chin, throat, neck and sides of your face. One should start with side of his face as skin there is smoother and easier to shave. 

                     The direction of hairs should be followed while shaving. When you are done with sides of your face then you should move to more challenging areas. One could use his hand to pull his skin for making it smoother, resulting in an easy shave. Short strokes should be used, and special care should be taken while shaving mouth and chin areas.

                      After completing shaving, one should apply cold water. Cold water prevents pimples caused due to dust and oil entering open pores. Aftershave can be used as disinfectant and it adds a nice smell.
