Serving
The way you serve the ball tells how good you are in most sports, especially in table tennis, where serving is the most crucial act than any of the other. Stronger you serve, better the probability for you to win the rally. Serve doesn’t only include the speed it also includes the amount of spin you put into the ball so that your opponent would find it difficult to maneuver the ball. If you have weaker serve then your opponent can be all upon you.

The grip determines how you serve. Grip combined with technique would help in creating a serve that could land the opponent into trouble. Gripping can be done in three possible ways in table tennis, each grip can produce a good serve and it can also land you in trouble.

Paddling grip:

The easiest way of spinning the ball is through this grip. This limits the change of grip while serving and spinning. Though the paddling grip is the easiest way of spinning the ball professionals don’t use this grip as it limits huge movements of the wrists which in turn limit the amount of so in given to the ball.

Index-thumb grip:

This grip provides you with stronger service as it huge wrist movements can be done. As huge wrist movements can be done this grip increase the probability if error in the serve as the wrists could twitch and a complete control over wrists is not a joke. Professionals recommend this grip as it leaves the opponent baffled. The wrist control can be obtained through treacherous training and practicing.

The unfastened finger grip:

This can also be called as the loose finger grip, as three fingers of your hand are placed behind the racket. This provides arguable amount of spin on the ball and as it allow considerable wrist moment on the ball. The angle of the paddle can also be controlled using the three fingers at the back of the racket. Table tennis can be better learned through professionals who have made videos regarding grips and stunts. Besides improving your game, the science behind table tennis is also taught.
