Sarah Chalke is a Canadian born TV actress who is better known for her role as Dr. Elliot Reed. She was born on 27 August 1976, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her parents moved to Vancouver so she spent her childhood and teenage in Vancouver. Her mother is German and Sarah can speak fluent German. She can also speak French. She is the middle one of three sisters. She graduated from Handsworth Secondary School in North Vancouver in 1995.

Her acting career stated with a tele-film City Boy in 1992. She succeeded to get a role in the tv series Roseanne. She worked nicely in that role and managed to get herself some projects. She worked in a movie called Ernest goes to school. Then she went on to do more movies like Robin of Locksley and Standing against the fear. In 1998 she starred in a show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy.

Her real break happened when she was selected to play the character of Dr. Elliot Reed in the show that later became her identity Scrubs. Scrubs was basically based on the life in a hospital. Sarah Chalke played a character of a young intern Dr. Elliot Reed who has just graduated from the medical school in the first season of the show. She did a wonderful job in the first season of the show and the show became an instant hit. Sarah looked natural in that character. That character was a young girl who is has the properties of a stereotypical blonde girl and her stupidity and style sometimes created pretty funny situations. The show became smash hit and Sarah Chalke went on to work in it in all the seasons. The show has aired 8 successful seasons and now it’s ready for the launch of the 9th season which is a big achievement.

Chalke has dual American and Canadian nationality. In her spare time she likes cooking with friends, playing the guitar, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking and reading.
