Role of vitamin E in curing heart diseases
The vitamins and minerals play an essential role in boosting up the health rate in us and they also empower us to possess a good stamina and the proper functioning of all the organs in our body. One among the vital nutrients is vitamin E which has too many health benefits.

Sources of vitamin E:

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin. Alphatocopherol is the most active form of vitamin E in our body. It is a powerful antioxidant that protects us from the cancerous cells and it also improves the blood circulation in our body by removing the blood clots. Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils, nuts, green leafy vegetables, soy bean, corn, cereals, legumes, papaya, brown rice, oat meal, sweet potatoes, wheat germ, and water cress and so on.

How does vitamin E protect us from the heart diseases?

The researches have been proving that vitamin E plays an important role in reducing the risk of heart diseases. A survey conducted in 1993 has proved that vitamin E has reduced the rate of coronary heart disease by 30 to 40 percent. Another survey has shown that regular intake of vitamin E decreased the death rate from heart diseases very considerably. Vitamin E helps the endothelial cells lining the interior surface of the blood vessels to resist the blood cell components adhering to the surface. Thus it enhances the free circulation of blood in the blood vessels removing the clots. Vitamin E also helps in the controlling of arachidonic acid metabolism and increases the produce of prostacyclin which dilates the blood vessels and inhibits the platelet aggregation.

Vitamin E protects the cells and lipoproteins in the body from getting oxidized. The oxidation process leads to the damage of the cells and the formation of plaque in the blood vessels. This can cause heart disease and stroke in us. Vitamin E prevents the formation of plaque in the blood vessels and promotes a good blood circulation. Vitamin E must be obtained by our body through intake of fruits, nuts, cereals, green vegetables etc. The naturally obtained vitamin E promotes the health of heart by preventing the oxidation of lipoproteins and formations of plaque in the blood vessels. The naturally obtained vitamin E is 36 percent more active than the synthetic form of vitamin E.

Vitamin E also prevents the rapid changes in the blood vessel responsiveness and helps the patients with established heart diseases. The deficiency of vitamin E results in the poor functioning of WBC which obstructs the circulation of blood in our body.
