In the present era, the primary motive of education is to develop and establish the personality of students. By education, a child who has been just a living organism transforms into a cultured, respectful and dignified member of the society. For this, not only he is introduced to his personal aspects, his capabilities and personal interpretations but also the specific philosophy of life, his beliefs, his special religious and ethical values are taught, which are of a special importance to form his personality. To achieve this goal, the department on which society rely the most is “teaching”.
Teachers are in fact responsible to be the main source of the ethical training process. In this process of education, curriculum or non-curriculum activities are used to make them understand specific religious and ethical beliefs as well as the laws and customs. They learn to follow and spread them in their life.
This is a fact that in developing the personality and the role which they are going to play in the society is more in the hands of teachers then the parents. Anyone agrees or disagrees but this is beyond the argument that parents do fulfill their children’s materialistic needs but to establish them as a good person to be accepted by the society teachers hold a key role.
So, sometimes they have to become the role model for their students. In any society teachers’ status stands for the front line Generals. They are the ones who make it possible for the society to achieve glory and righteousness. It impacts students more of what their parents and teachers do. Moreover, it sets a perfect example to the students what their teachers’ portrait by doing it practically, physically and verbally. Therefore, it’s a core responsibility of teachers to become a perfect example of social behavior, tolerance and core ethical values.
