It looks like the internet replaces almost everything in our society. The classic trying way of shopping is replaced by surfing online in big Malls, books are replaced by e-books and you can even attend educational programs online. In this way, there is no more teacher-student relation. It is only the student and the internet.

    Schools online are preferred for the easy way of reaching them, no schedules and the possibility to finish a course in the wished time period. It looks like the teachers are not that important anymore. Having online education is totally different to the education we are used to in public education places.

    The major reason for which online courses are chosen is because of the flexibility of the programmed. We live in a speed era and what we need the most is free time and flexibility in our program.

    There are many ways in which you can study online. For example: you can choose to attend a course which you can read when you have time and then send through email a presentation about that topic or you can choose a more interactive learning method in which you take part to a lot of video conferences and chat rooms to talk about the topic you have chosen for your course. How you learn depends on your schedule and your personal vision about how the course should take place.

    When in the classical education way are pencils, notebooks and blackboard needed, there are certain programs to be used when studying online (Angel, webCT, Black Board etc). These programs were made in order to increase the comfort and flexibility of the schedule.

    Learning online can be a disadvantage for students which are not self motivated and perseverant. Even if they have the online of the teacher, they cannot cope with brainstorming the information all alone. Choosing how you will study: online or not, is very important for you and your career.
