Fables are a part of every literature. They provide chances, to laugh at human foolishness. They pass on from generation to generation. People enjoy these fables. They also help in teaching a moral lesson to others. In fables, a wide range of animals are used like,” The Hare and the Tortoise”, in which tortoise won the race, or “The Sour Grapes”, in which a Fox did not eat grapes because they were out of reach, are famous fables. It is any kind of story which, at the end, provides moral lesson.
Myth is a false story. It is story of supernatural creations, which were present in the beginning of World, but having no truth at all. Myths are always accompanied with religious facts. But they are wrong. In fact, they represent religion in a wrong way.
We can say that the word’s history becomes a tale and this tale leads to the formation of myths. Myths are untrue while fables give us lessons and messages.
If some one says, it is religious mythology; we should not accept it because he is treating wrong tales as religious beliefs. One should know that, religion and myth are totally separate things. Myths always deal with extraordinary creations, which are not present now a day.
At the end, we can say that, fables and mythologies are the part of every culture. We cannot stop them but we can enjoy these untruth stories.
