Message boards are something like forums but without the complication of forums. In message boards you can post advertisement unlike that in forums where the advertisement has to be through good will and such like. However, it is good to tell you right from the start that although message boards will allow you the freedom of positing your ads on them, there is really no comparison between the effectiveness of a forum and a message board. A forum is a hundred times more effective than any silly message board. Wondering why? Well let’s find out for ourselves.

See, one problem with everything that allows advertisements is that people flock to these places only for advertising purposes. Do not even be misguided into thinking that they are really interested in getting some information or looking around the message board for some god article to enrich their knowledge. Apply the ideas and tricks that you use in your forum and get these people directed from your ads on the message board to your forum where they will get to see how popular and how big a star you are. So what you should do is post an ad on the message board and place a line which says “see what others feel and say on this” and below that give a link to the forum site that you are so popular in. when these people who have seen your ad go to the forum they will obviously find a lot of testimonials and positive feedbacks regarding your product site and your self.

Now when you see something that is being so much talked about and so hyped you automatically get curious and go have a look. These people will also do the same and who knows three out of ten people may actually buy what you have to offer. So, you have to apply your brains and channel the crowd in a manner which will bring you more and more sales.
