Last week there was terrible news in leading newspapers, Los Angeles: a man distraught over his job situation killed his wife and five children before committing suicide at their home on Jan 27.
Just 2 weeks before, in mid Jan, there was another similar news: Apparently fearing that he may lose his job, a 23-year-old employee of scam-ravaged Indian software company Satyam Computers allegedly committed suicide.
Suicides due to job loss have become frequent news on the newspapers from last few months.
Today Global economy crisis has grabbed almost everyone’s neck in his arms. Situations are getting dense day by day. Sudden job losses causing worries of unpaid loans, credit crunches, dependents survival and making people extremely panic which is proved to be life threatening for self and family in some cases. Mixed emotions of shock, anger, frustration, worries, despair and hurt are overtaking people intelligence, wisdom, positive thoughts and confidence and blocking their minds with negativity. It is badly affecting the people career, financials, assets and lifestyle and worst part is it’s affecting their physical and mental health, the peace of their lives.
Well, coping up with unemployment and job loss is not easy for anyone, but leaving all the negatives and grief behind, it is high time to be optimistic and practical, well plan a strategy to cope up with the crisis and make continuous sincere efforts to win against the odd situation.

Make an Assumption in your mind that you may be job less for a year and plan your budget accordingly.
• If you are in the midway of heavy loans, mortgage and likely to be unable to pay your bills you can contact your lenders and there might be some policies to help you out which can temporarily reduced payments or suspend the installments until you are unemployed. Conserve your cash. It is advisable not to touch your retirement funds if you can avoid it.
• Also prepare budget for your job search. Registering with expert job consultancies may shorten your unemployment period,
• You need to find an extra source of income. Continue with your efforts to find a new job but at the same time do not hesitate to do any work which can create an extra income to you even if it looks small or not of your level. For example: you can start working as a freelancer in your area of expertise and utilize your time and skill to earn some extra cash.
• Do not feel shy or egoistic to ask for help from your friends for job search. Pass your resume to all your friends and workmates.
• Be practical and grab the job even if it is offering you lesser salary and wages or a change of career. Being jobless and waiting for a perfectly suitable job is not smart option. it might be possible that destiny has given you a chance to come out of your comfort zone and get more success in a new career.

• Always stay motivated, to reduce stress it is important to keep your self busy same as you were in work, exercise regularly, take healthy food, study well for the interviews, give enough time for your job search, follow a disciplined daily routine and stay away from any bad habits.

Listen to soothing music, play your favorite sport, nurture any old hobby, enjoy time with family and friends, meditate, let your self remember the days when you achieved your first job after college and think it was possible then it is still very much possible to get anew job with having a rich work experience and be optimistic.
