Forgetting the locations of the objects we use everyday and the important dates etc is becoming very common in most of the people. We can never say that the memory loss occurs in older people only. Even the younger generation is suffering from memory loss. The memory loss may not be a very serious issue to have a deep concern, but if it persists, it may lead to the Alzheimer’s disease in an early stage. Hence we must look for some ways to overcome memory loss and keep our memory sharp.
Ways to sharpen our memory power:
• When we are focusing on a subject, we must not let our mind waver onto something else. Hence keen focusing and attention are must to improve our memory.
• We must develop interest towards the subjects which we want to remember for ever.
• We must be creative and funny while remembering the grocer’s list or list of things to be done etc. For instance you want to buy eggs, lemons, umbrella and bread, you can form a word like BLUE taking the first letters of the items. So that you need not remember all the four items except the word BLUE.
• The mind puzzle games and other memory games help us to improve our concentration and focus levels; develop analyzing skills; increase our thinking skills thus elevating the memory to a great height.
• The repetition method helps a lot in remembering things. We must keep on repeating the names of the items we want to remember and this list can increase gradually.
• The stressful situations in our family, official, social and financial status may create a temporary memory loss in us. So we must get rid of the stress through meditation, yoga, and massage therapy and so on.
• A constant supply of oxygenated blood to the brain keeps it active and stimulated which accentuates the memory power in us. Hence we must not consume very heavy kind of foods which directs more blood circulation towards the digestive system. Eating healthy foods which are filling and at the same time keep us light are efficiently helpful in promoting the memory power.
• A good sleep and regular exercising will keep the mind and the brain very active and energetic.
