Do you find it very stressful to realize that no one yet has asked you to go to the prom? You are probably thinking that asking a guy to a prom may be somehow inappropriate for you to do; however, you do want to make it to the prom with a prom date right? So, leave all your worries behind, and try to look into the following tips that you can make use of, to surpass this challenge.
Your prom is an event in your life that you should be able to share with your grand children when the time comes. If you want to make the event worthwhile, then you definitely have to have a date. It's better to look for a guy who is somehow special to you, don't just settle with your cousin or your nerdy best friend -- unless this best friend of yours really is your type.
So, who are we looking at here? Definitely you have your own prospects. If there's a list, then rank them accordingly, and start with those, whom you feel would be the hardest to ask, if you are desperate enough, then do it the other way around.
Now, the strategy that you have to look into should be very different from the ones that you see on movies, because those may not work for you anymore, try something different. You may want to ask your friends to help you out in a way, like setting up a blind date or a romantic date maybe. Doing this before the prom night would give you and the guy more time to get acquainted with each other and eventually you can ask him the big question, and if he likes you from the start, then what would make him say 'No'?
From this stage, you would be able to determine if the guy already has a date. You do not have to waste your precious time anymore, and you can now go on fishing in the sea. If you are not that much convinced with this strategy and you would like to do this somehow more privately, then you may try utilizing tools being used by the generation of today such as mobile phone text messages, instant messengers, emails or even your own blog.
You may look into asking your date via a text message where you could insert quotes and even emoticons that would then surprise the guy. If you're not acquainted, then he might ask to see you in person, and this would be your chance to show some charisma. Or, probably if you have like a chat room at school where your schoolmates would be available, you may look for your dream date's availability there, try to go chatting try to go chat with him to see if he can go with you on the prom.
The main objective here, is to gain your prospect's friendship as well as his respect. In doing this, you would be able to get him to say 'Yes' once you ask him to go with you to the Prom. You do not have to fill the air with flattery stuff, all you have to do is to get him interested with you, and see the real you -- eventually he'll get excited and he might even be the one to ask you first.
You probably may find this difficult for you at first, but to tell you frankly, it's not. Guys have lesser tendencies of saying 'No' when a girl asks them for a date, unless they really dislike you. If they do, they would show you, and you will be able to feel that so there's no time to waste then. Go for it girl, may the force be with you!
