The reason that ATV’s were produced, was the need of the Japanese farmers to have a vehicle which makes crossing the mountains during the winter end and early spring season possible. Because of the fact that Japanese think very practical and want to find solution to their problems, the first three wheeled ATV appeared on the market and had a lot of benefits: ATV’s make the muddy mountains roads during spring possible and are less expensive in comparison to other vehicles used by farmers. .

    In the 1970’s were still no ATV’s in the USA; the first ATV in America was made by Honda and become amazingly fast popular in the whole country and all that happened because the Japanese realized what a great invention they have made and started showing and selling ATV’s all over the world. Honda is a very prestigious company in the USA; the same company produces the best motorcycles in the country and made them popular too.

    Riding a motorcycle was often associated with fame (famous rock bands back in the 60’s were always seen with their motorcycles) and Hondas ideology “You meet the nicest people on Honda” turned the business with the motorcycles into a huge success. More and more people bought them and in 1970 Honda become the most successful vehicle company. When the first ATV’s appeared, Honda was already successful and the sales continued to rise in a stunning way.

    In the USA, most of the people bought ATV’s for other reasons than they have been designed: they bought ATV’s for having fun and recreation. Soon after the new vehicle was produced, the Americans realized that the ATV’s are also very useful for the working class (for hunters, farmers, ranchers, etc) ATV’s made for all of them the life more exciting and easier.

    ATV’s are also used in touristic places. You can make whether a romantic trip through the European Alps or an exciting one through the desert by driving an ATV.

    Now the ATV’s are used both for having fun and for working because you can drive one everywhere you like when having to complete a job. The hardly accessible roads with other vehicles are now easily accessed by these useful vehicles.
