Time is an essential factor in our lives and each and every stage of our lives is linked to time. Our childhood is pertained to some extent of time, adolescence stays for a specific amount of time, youth, and middle age, academics, career etc are proceeded up to a certain level of time in our lives. Hence time is a very essential resource given to us and we must do our best to mange it properly and be successful in our lives.
Things to do for effective time management: • We must set goals and work out on them to reach the target with in the time limit we have allotted ourselves. We can start with easier and smaller goals and proceed in the same way regarding academics or career.
• If we plan ahead of the things to do, we will not lag behind due to short of time. So planning any work is very essential. The task may be a personal one, official or social commitment.
• When we feel that we are lagging behind and postponing the tasks, we must analyze ourselves and assess what makes us lag behind or procrastinate. If we understand the reason for that, we can easily overcome it.
• The time management tools like schedulers, reminders etc will help us to keep up the time and accomplish the task well within the time limit. This strategy will also let us not to forget any important tasks to be finished.
• While planning for the things to be done, we must prioritize the matters according to their importance and emergency. Hence we will never lag behind in our duties.
• Following a cycle of routine always helps us to finish the work successfully. If we laze around and waste our time, ultimately we are the losers.
• The planning must be done by day wise. Always short term goals will be easy to tackle with and can be quickly accomplished. This method will help us to prevent any accumulation of work.
• When we are unable to finish the work due to any inevitable reasons, we can ask for help. At the same time, we too must be ready to help others in the times of crisis.
