You may think that it will increase the chances of your getting a good market and earning a good profit because the site is for free, you do not have to pay for it and therefore your profits automatically increase. But there is more to free websites than meets the eye. People mostly would rather get a Geocities website or an Yahoo website because these are absolutely free of any charge.

However, have you actually ever seen a free website and had a look at what they have to put up with all the time? Well if you haven’t then for your information, let me tell you that when you get a free website for yourself you obviously have to advertise banners and advertisements that the free site host will put up on your site. Also it will be extremely cluttered with all the rubbish that you do not need but the host is making money out of. So you are actually losing out on a number of things.

Then there will be the issue of your site looking so unprofessional that one look at it would be enough to make visitors shun your site and choose something over it, which is not even half as good. This unprofessional look is mainly because of the cluttered nature of your site. With so many advertisements which do not even relate to what you are selling at your site, it looks really unbecoming. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Lastly, what if your business becomes very successful and you want to offer your customers extra privilege by allowing them a download page or something like that? Well, what do you think, your site host will allow you to do so? As soon as they find out how much disk space you are eating up with all your traffic, they will automatically close down your site which means that your business will get stopped just when you were about to be successful.

So do not get hindered by the petty issues of a free site and get a good paid site for yourself and your business.
