Astrology as such cannot be defined in a single phrase. It is a vast field that includes researches on celestial bodies, planets, stars etc. Astrology has been in practice from the ancient times.       Horoscopy is the mapping of the arrangement of stars, planets at a particular time in relation to the zodiac signs. It can interpret data about past, present and future of a person’s life. This map is drawn in the form of a big box containing twelve boxes or zones called the houses. These houses give the positions of the planets at a specified time.

      In India, this practice has been followed from the past. This has been helpful to predict many important aspects of human life such as health, wealth, marriage, friendship, death etc.

      Horoscope data for each and every day related to each sun sign or zodiac sign is being published in daily news papers, magazines, internet etc. This can show the craze and belief of astrology among the people. But it is safe not to believe too much in horoscopy. Only hard work can bring laurels to each and everyone’s life.

      The birth stones are also related to each zodiac sign, birth month, and day of birth of a person. This is believed to bring luck in a person’s life. It is worn by the people in the form of rings or chains and is believed to bring good fortune. This is also a common practice of astrology. Common stones used are ruby, sapphire, coral, blood stone, amethyst, diamond, emerald, garnet, Muriel, pearl, peridot, opal, topaz. Each stone depicts emotions like happiness, loyalty, sincerity, peace, purity, wisdom, innocence, constancy, beauty etc. These combinations of birth stones are worn either with gold or silver.
