In the modern era, our lives are dependent on mechanical things. Car is one of them. If we are talking about cars in today’s world, one would think straight about a Mercedes Sl-65 or a Mazda Rx-8. This is because of the fact that cars have become one of the most important and essential part of our lives.   

We define three categories of cars in our discussion.

1. Heavy type e.g. trucks and lorries
2. Racing type e.g. bugatti vernyon
3. Saloon type e.g. Mercedes, Ford and BMW

The most important and commonly used is the saloon type as we are seeing it everywhere in the world. Most people can afford a car these days but some like us want to modify our cars, so that they are more powerful, attractive and devastating when compared to the original (stock) version.
   
Modification of cars is also divided into two types:

1. High Modification
2. Simple Modification

Now it depends on the car, either the car can accept the modification or not and on the nature and economical position of the owner of the car that how he is modifying his car? But in most cases, people who are interested to do modifications, do high modification.

There are 10 things which can be changed/altered during the modification of car.

1. Intake Systems
2. Fuel Systems
3. Engine
4. Turbocharger/supercharger
5. Clutch System
6. Positive Crankcase ventilation
7. Engine Management System
8. Fuel (Gas, Diesel, Petrol, etc.)
9. Tires
10. Exhaust systems

But here we will discuss, only 5 main things which are of importance.

1. INTAKE SYSTEMS:
   
    It helps to minimize the exhaust emissions as it gauges the ratio of the fuel, that either the level of air/fuel is correct or not. It is necessary to fit intake systems in highly modified cars as it clears all the gases levels and prevents car to create smog. The main reason the car make more smog is because of intake systems. If intake system stops working, the car won’t be able to perform better and it will start consuming more petrol than in the normal conditions.

2. FUEL SYSTEMS:

    Basically the fuel systems are used to deliver fuel to the vehicle. It converts the petrol into energy and it passes the fuel to the carburetor, then carburetor after refining it send it to cylinder chamber where the fuel combusts and produces energy. Fuel systems are required to increase the throttle of the engine. A thicker fuel pip will mean more fuel is supplied to engine which in turn will increase the thrust, acceleration and throttle of the engine.

3. ENGINE:

    As we know that engine is the main and basic part of the car, but in highly modified cars there must be a heavy engine because the efficiency of the car is directly proportional to the power of engine. Engine converts the thermal energy into mechanical energy and gives us performance from which we can convert our cars to super fast machines!


4. TURBOCHARGERS/SUPERCHARGERS:

When we talk about highly modified and racing cars, the topic of turbochargers usually comes. Turbochargers are used to boost the powers of the engine as it increase the mass of air which enters in the engine to increase the oxidation of fuel. In order to boost the turbocharger, apply the exhaust to the turbine which in result spins the air pump by which the turbine in the turbocharger spins at 150,000 RPM and it is approximately 30 times faster than the normal stock engine

5. TIRES:

In racing cars, tire plays a central role because the main work of tires is to maintain road grip when the driver is driving the car. In tires there are two types:
1) Wet tires
2) Dry tires

The selection of the tires in the car is dependent on the road but we usually use wet tires. The owner of the car who is modifying the care should take interest in tires because the hydraulics, braking, handling and suspension of the car heavily rely on tires.     

So these are the 5 major things which the owners has to keep in mind while modifying their cars because without having information on all these, owners won’t be able to do the best modifications in their cars.
