Nowadays, air travel is becoming more and more popular every time. Let's assume you are in Asia, and want to visit Europe. Usually, you won't go by train, bus or car. It could take days or even a week, and you'd be so exhausted, that you wouldn't be able to enjoy the places you visit. We've all heard about the plane crash tragedies, and terrorist plane hijacks. Are planes a blessing or a curse for you, the traveler?

    Obviously, there is no concrete answer to this question (or dilemma). Anyway, we can take some things into account when thinking about this issue. Let's start looking at the positive sides of air travel.

    First of all, think about the time. You could easily travel thousands of miles in 8-10 hours by plane, when traveling the same distance with a car takes up to a week, depending on the traffic. Air traffic is mostly simple. Planes never stop in the air, they all have their routes. Isn't it better to get to your destination faster, and save even up to a couple of days? As people say, time is money. It really is. You can buy almost anything with money, except time, health and life.

    As how comfortable a plane is, I ensure you that planes are very comfortable, even if not traveling on first class. Maybe it is even more comfortable than a car or a train would be. Stewardesses even serve you with food or drink as you request. That's quite nice and comfortable.

    Another thing to add, are sights. You will never see the world, the seas and the oceans so magnificently, as you can see them from a plane. Sights will be like you'd travel trough paradise. They will be so unique and catchy.

    If you start thinking of the negative sides, you will mostly find two: crashes and hijacks. Modern air planes are mostly safe, but terrorists, criminals or robbers are sometimes too tricky to catch. They sit on the plane, and act very normally, you don't even observe their presence. They'll look for the perfect timing, and attack passengers and pilots when they are maximally vulnerable. In case of organized criminal actions, if there are more bad guys with guns, they'll surely take over the control of the plane. These are things you cannot know.

    Crashes occur during terrorist attacks, or unfortunate times, when an engine goes off, or something else stops the pilot from being able to control the plane.

    Anyway, even if you go out for a walk, a car can hit you and kill you. Not only planes are the “risky” ones. Everything in life is risky, and a lot of things aren't safe at all. This is how we live, and we all know about it, even if it's hard to admit.

    If you're looking for a great traveling experience, you should really choose air travel. By doing so, you will save your time, energy, and you will enjoy your travel time to the maximum. It is so great to have such an option as planes, to get to a certain destination much faster than by land or by water. Time really counts, especially now, in the 21^st century.
